    Q:What is IP commercialization?
    A:

Generating commercial profit from intellectual property by selling/granting licenses for intellectual property rights.

Q:How can IP commercialization create new revenue streams?
    A:

Sometimes a company or a factory has intellectual property assets that protect technology that is important to their operations, but that technology can sometimes also be important to other areas that do not conflict with their operations. Therefore, licensing the same IP to other non-competing entities can generate an additional revenue stream that is not directly related to the commercial activity of the rights holder itself.

Q:How can I identify which IP assets can be monetized?
    A:

Many times, IP owners themselves are unaware of all the IP assets they have. To this end, it is possible and desirable to enlist the help of lawyers and attorneys who specialize in the field, and who have a professional eye and the ability to analyze and identify intellectual property assets. Each case needs to be examined on its own merits, in order to help rights holders formulate a protection and commercialization strategy for their intellectual property assets.

Q:What do I do if I want to abandon a domain? How can I commercialize it?
    A:

A successful domain can certainly be a profitable asset.

There are a number of services that purchase and sell domains and can be contacted. You can also find someone who is interested, such as a competitor or someone who manufactures products related to the field of activity and offer him/her the ability to purchase the domain.

Q:Can I monetize only part of my IP rights?
    A:

    Definitely.

Rights holders can decide whether they want to sell or grant licenses for all of their rights, or only for some of them. An individual right can also be sold in part or a license can be granted for specific uses only.
