We advise investors on the value of the IP of companies in which they wish to invest and, on both the pitfalls, and the opportunities involved in the planned investment.

When an investor consults with a patent attorney before making an investment decision, he/she obtains a clearer view of the project in which he/she wishes to invest, including a realistic assessment of the company seeking investment and potential issues with it.

While an opinion arising from an IP review is meant to aid an investor in making a decision, it is never a “go no go” bottom line because IP issues are often quite complex. However, we strive to provide opinions that are as conclusive as possible, as we are well aware that this is what we are being consulted for.

The outcome of an initial consultation will be a clear description of the activities that should be undertaken to perform due diligence on the IP, along with expected costs. When possible, some initial assessment of outstanding issues will also be provided.

Our in-depth knowledge of promising companies, first and foremost from the IP point of view, but also in other aspects, allows us to suggest considering investments in companies that are appropriate for a specific investor, based on his/her investment policy and preferences.
